Our House Has a Name...

After living in our home for about eight months, we've finally settled on a name: Northwoods Parsonage. I did a quick (and not very in-depth) search on Google and it doesn't seem to be a common name. What do you think?

  1. I like it. My house is named Taigh Beag. It's Scottish Gaelic for "Little House."

When I visited Scotland, I stayed in a house called Drummore.

I always thought it was charming to name houses and estates.

  2. I think it is a charming name. It sounds like something out of a lovely old novel..."the family at Northwoods were gathered round the fire one windy November evening, when...."

  4. I love it too! You'll have to help me decide on a name for our home and property. We have zero ideas for far, but we have only lived her for a month. I'm interested to see what pops up in the gardens too as that might give me some hints.

Can I ask how you settled on the name? It defintiely sounds very Jane Austen/Miss Read/Mitford-ish!
