They were written from 1920s to 1960s and are set in Austria, Wales and Switzerland.Buffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00632534063802295379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6212550248931823866.post-55981473926017706322008-02-20T16:14:00.000-05:002008-02-20T16:14:00.000-05:00Oh! I first discovered her in 1982 at the public library, and over the years have collected all her Thrush Green and Fairacre books. Her use of dialect is masterful, don't you think?Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10538925473636719361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6212550248931823866.post-2726843292173977032008-02-20T13:27:00.000-05:002008-02-20T13:27:00.000-05:00I don't comment very often, but I am a faithful re...I don't comment very often, but I am a faithful reader of your blog! I am loving the 'Frumpy to Fabulous' series!

I just started reading "Murder Most Royal" last night, about Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard.

I generally switch between more 'heavy, serious' books and lighthearted charming books, such as the "Anne" books. I love Anne! My next in the series will be "Anne's House of Dreams".

SherryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6212550248931823866.post-60423414167855076762008-02-20T13:01:00.000-05:002008-02-20T13:01:00.000-05:00Hello, I am a new reader to your blog. Thank you.

I just got down reading White Chocolate Moments by Lori Wick the other day. I am hoping to order me some books soon. I would love to get more Lori Wick books and some older classics.

Reading is very important to me and we teach our children to enjoy it as well. Not only do I read to them but we have a time when they get their favoriate book and set and look at the pictures. They are to young for reading the pages but they look at the pictures and enjoy telling us what is going on.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16885254163169128507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6212550248931823866.post-48370240947715141662008-02-20T12:27:00.000-05:002008-02-20T12:27:00.000-05:00I very much agree - when kids are little you don't...I very much agree - when kids are little you don't read as much, but you should always get a bit in.

And, then, I speak from experience, when they are older, you can read a lot more! Half an hour (or more) of reading is such a treat.
When I'm done with this series, I want to tackle the "Anne" books. You inspired me :)Xenia Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08880128865699100105noreply@blogger.com
