Though I had my doubts, it seems like Autumn has begun! Here are the things we have been busying ourselves with the past few days as we enjoy the cooler weather...

Harvest Reading

New shoes for our little girl (note the scuffs already!) and new long-sleeve shirts for Mama

Switching my lightweight summer handbag for a more substantial cold weather one

Cinnamon doughnuts for snacking

Seasonal crafts

Our Autumn wreath made from odds and ends around the house

Pumpkins!
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDid you make those donuts? I've never tried and would love a good recipe.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE autumn! I have been enjoying your posts on it very much the past couple of days. *happy sigh*

I wish that I had made those doughnuts, Monica! They are Tastycakes. I've only seen the cinnamon version around this time for year.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bethany! I've enjoyed writing the last few posts:)
Monica- An easy way is to use refrigerator biscuits. Poke a hole in the middle and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown, while still warm coat in cinnamon/sugar. My grandmother used to make these for us.
ReplyDeleteEmma,
ReplyDeleteI have an award for you over at my blog! Please come on by! ~Blessings!

Yay, autumn! How is the Martha Stewart issue? I forgot to update my address with them in time, so I didn't get that one. Is it worth it to go buy at cover price?
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. The mountains here are beginning to show colors. Love this time of year.

Hi Kat! The majority of the issue is Halloween ideas.... I'm not a Halloween person, so it's not my favorite issue.
ReplyDeleteOh, cinnamon buns! I haven't made those all summer. I'm going to add that to our to-do list for next week!
ReplyDeleteReading your post, we feel very autumnal. I liked it a lot.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that little glass house with the bird on top in a few different photos. It is so cute and I love how you change it....the pumpkins look great in there!
ReplyDeleteHave you shared the recipe for those yummy-looking cinnamon rolls on here before? They look like the perfect breakfast to serve my family this weekend. :)
Hi Emma! I am a "lurker"...I've been here since right after you started your blog, I think. I always love seeing your pictures, and I wish you could come and decorate/organize my home for me! :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw your picture of your purse and wondered what you do for a diaper bag, especially with two little ones? You seem so chic and put-together, I figure you must have a cute way to tote all the "necessities" of babies. :-)

Your photos have totally inspired me!! Also, please come visit me at my blog...I have an award for you.:)
ReplyDeleteLove all of your pictures....everything looks so nice and cozy. I *love* the purse. It is gorgeous, which surprises me because that is not a color I would normally choose!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inspiring photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Darcy!
ReplyDeleteI just linked to the cinnamon bun recipe I used from All Recipes. I meant to do that before, and forgot! Thanks for reminding me:)
